7th Population & Housing Census to be Held in Pakistan
Islamabad: Thursday, the Council of Common Interests (CCI) approved the nation’s seventh Population and Housing Census, according to press sources (January 13). The decision was made at the 49th CCI meeting, presided over by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and attended by the Chief Ministers of the four provinces (CMs).

According to reports, the Housing Census will precede the Population Census. The forthcoming census will be conducted utilizing cutting-edge technology and a Geographical Information System (GIS), in accordance with international standards of excellence. The conference also approved the establishment of a Census Monitoring Committee to examine the real-time process and ensure that census activities are carried out in a timely, transparent, and reliable manner.

All provincial chief secretaries, the chairman of NADRA, the chief commissioner of ICT, and other high-ranking officials will serve on this group, which will be overseen by the Planning Commission’s Deputy Chairman.
