Administrative Changes Required Before Regulating Sector H
According to a post published on Friday (March 25), the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has informed the federal government that the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) cannot run the three H-series sectors: H-13, H-14, and H-15 without legal amendments.

According to the report, legislative adjustments are required because both agencies have an unresolved boundary issue. Without these modifications, officials from the CDA Law Wing stated last week at a Cabinet Division meeting, RCB would be unable to operate in CDA territories.
According to the meeting, the three areas would remain a part of Islamabad, and the RCB will only have the authority to implement its regulations, collect taxes, and provide municipal services.

Reports indicate that the topic of overlap has been discussed at many meetings. According to RCB survey papers from 1964, 1977, and 1985, the RCB claims roughly 2,509 acres of land in various sectors. At a meeting last year, both parties agreed in principle that RCB would surrender its claim on the city’s territory if the non-acquired H-13, H-14, and H-15 sectors were excluded from the city’s boundaries.
