AEDB Issues Certification for Solar and Wind Projects
In accordance with the goal of the current government’s “Ease of Doing Business” strategy and the promotion of clean and green energy, the Alternative Energy Development Board has released simplified Certification Regulations for installers of solar and wind projects in the country.

The AEDB certified vendors/installers/service providers for the installation of wind and solar systems in accordance with the regulations (both net-metering systems and off-grid systems).
In this regard, the AEDB has approved a total of 126 vendors/installers/service providers who have installed roughly 13,000 net-metering-based systems with a total capacity of over 200MW across Pakistan.
After comprehensive consultation with all public and private sector players, the new laws have been drafted to streamline the procedures outlined in the present regulations for the opening of the market to generate competition.

By virtue of these Regulations, the qualified Installer is obligated to provide the authorized minimum warranties for wind and solar energy equipment.
Additionally, the Installer is responsible for ensuring that all projects and equipment comply with international standards and requirements.
