AJK Approved 11 Development Projects in Various Areas of State
Islamabad: According to news reports from February 14, 2023, 11 new projects have been given the green light by the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). These projects, which are expected to cost PKR 6 billion, will be constructed in a number of the state’s districts and regions.
The source claims that the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, called a meeting of the Cabinet Development Committee (CDC). They agreed to the physical planning and housing of five development projects totaling PKR 3 billion at the conference. They also gave their approval for the development of four other initiatives, four for public personnel, and one for the health and education sectors.

The physical planning and housing projects include finishing and rebuilding the remaining Supreme Court and High Court facilities, according to sources. The housing projects also consist of the PKR 7,404 Million upgrade to the Palindri of District Sudhnoti water supply infrastructure. Also, the government intends to spend PKR 437.1 Million on a sizable water delivery system in Hattian Bala. Moreover, AJK approves spending PKR 426.65 million to erect an elevator at the High Court Building in Muzaffarabad. Also, the planning calls for finishing the hospital Chachoi Water Supply scheme in District Kotli, which will cost PKR 663.3 Million. In addition, the government has started the PKR 866.8 million project to complete the remaining Water Supply System Phase-I at Rawalakot.

In addition, rehabilitating city squares in Muzaffarabad, the nation’s capital, is part of the development permitted for communication and works. Moreover, PKR 531.07 million will be allocated for the construction of the RCC Bridge on Salar Nala and Panji, Kalri Kasgma Road in District Bhimber. Also, the government will work on the Jandala Pir Gili Road Phase-I in the Bhimbar district and the last stages of the Nikyal district of Kotli restoration, which will cost PKR 488.7 million.
