After Gwadar Port and Gwadar Free zone are fully operational, economic experts’ studies and forecasts indicate that annual business activity will amount to approximately $10 billion.

Lt. Gen. (ret.) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Chairman of the CPEC Authority, spoke to reporters about the progress of the Gwadar port. He stated that as soon as the Gwadar Free Zone is completed, production and the exchange of goods will commence, and cargo activities will grow.

Asim Saleem Bajwa further stated that he and his team would monitor the project’s development till its completion. Furthermore, he disclosed that China Port Holding Company has finished infrastructure building at a cost of $300 million.
