Balochistan to Start 550 Road Construction Projects
The latest Roads development project to be begun in Baluchistan, for which around Rs 20 billion has been budgeted in the fiscal year 2021-22, will give the best communication facilities for the populace, according to news sources.

An official of the administration of Balochistan stated that the construction of 4,000 kilometres of roads to upgrade the province’s connectivity system has already begun.
To provide the greatest communication facilities to the populace, the Balochistan government will launch 550 new road development projects for which around Rs 20 billion has been budgeted for the fiscal year 2021-22.
The government has also included in the PSDP a plan to construct tourism centres and rest stops along roadways. He stated that better roads were necessary to reduce traffic accidents and preserve lives.

The dualization of the 796-kilometer Chaman-Quetta-Karachi Highway would begin this year. Due to the efforts of the Balochistan administration, the Federal government has allotted Rs 81.582 billion in the first phase for the building of the Kuchlak to Khuzdar portion of the Quetta-Karachi highway in the fiscal year 2021-22.
He noted that the construction of new highways and the extension of existing ones would not only pave the way for the socioeconomic development of remote regions of Balochistan, but also have a good effect on the economy of the entire region.
