Ban Imposed on Property Transfer, Allotment in Housing Schemes
ISLAMABAD, November 10, 2022- The authorities have announced new laws regarding property transfer and allotment in housing schemes in Islamabad.
Almost 12 cooperative housing societies have reportedly been prohibited from receiving new allotments by Irfan Nawaz Memon, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) because their layout plans are incomplete and the status of their approval by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other relevant authorities is unknown. In addition, DC Irfan Nawaz issued a notification to Islamabad’s 12 housing societies outlawing all new allotments and transfers. In addition to receiving the Registrar of Cooperative Societies’ clearance, these residential societies include Gulberg Greens.
