Bhakkar Gets PKR 9 Billion Development Package

Lahore: According to news reports, Punjab’s Chief Minister (CM), Sardar Usman Buzdar, has announced a PKR 9 billion uplift package for the Bhakkar District. The package contained 106 initiatives, 102 of which the chief minister has already begun or have had the groundwork set for them.

The chief minister announced multifaceted activities for many sectors during a one-day visit to district Bhakkar.

These programmes’ specifics are as follows:

Extension and expansion of 48 km roads under Phase 1 of the Rural Accessibility Program
Assigning PKR 507.6 million to the “Naya Pakistan Manzilain Aasan” program’s road construction.
The Community Development Programme Phase-1 includes the construction of 20 sewage system projects and 22 road projects.
17 sewerage and 10 road construction projects are being built as part of the Community Development Programme Phase 2
The purchase of land for the building of the Greater Thal Canal project will cost PKR 1 billion.
By the end of the year, Punjab will have eight rural excise centres established, one in each revenue circle.
Building seven carpeted roads as part of the “Rural Accessibility” programme to make it easier for farmers to sell their produce.

The ongoing projects also include 106 initiatives for building roads, sewerage and water systems, developing communities and livestock, and developing revenue-generating centres. It was also mentioned that one of the ongoing projects is the dualization of the 237-kilometer Mianwali-Muzaffargarh Road.
