Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Pakistan, has received its largest shipment of BYD New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) to date, with more than 2,000 units arriving at Karachi Port aboard a Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessel.
The arrival marks a significant milestone as demand for electric and new energy vehicles continues to grow across Pakistan. The larger shipment is expected to improve vehicle availability and support the country’s gradual transition towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation.
Commenting on the development, Danish Khaliq, Vice President – Sales & Strategy at BYD Pakistan (MMC), said the shipment reflects growing consumer confidence in NEVs. He noted that despite global supply chain challenges and increasing worldwide demand for BYD vehicles, the company worked closely with its international partners to strengthen logistics and ensure timely deliveries for Pakistani customers.
He added that MMC remains focused on providing a seamless ownership experience through reliable after-sales services and the continued expansion of its charging infrastructure across the country.
Lei Jian, Country Head of BYD Pakistan, said Pakistan is an important market in BYD’s global expansion strategy. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the country’s shift toward sustainable mobility by introducing advanced NEVs and expanding its local presence.
The vehicles arrived via a Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessel, a transport method specifically designed to move large volumes of vehicles efficiently and safely. The use of RoRo shipping is expected to improve supply chain efficiency and help meet the rising demand for BYD vehicles in Pakistan.
