Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) have agreed to collaborate on a series of development projects aimed at boosting tourism, hospitality, entertainment, and recreational facilities in Islamabad.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, with Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Salik Hussain and senior officials from both CDA and EOBI in attendance.

Under the partnership, the two organizations will pool their resources and expertise to launch initiatives that enhance Islamabad’s tourism appeal, expand entertainment and recreational opportunities, strengthen the hospitality sector, and attract new investment to the capital.

To move the initiative forward, CDA and EOBI have been tasked with preparing a comprehensive joint development plan within 15 days. The plan will outline priority projects, implementation strategies, and potential investment opportunities.

A follow-up meeting, jointly chaired by Mohsin Naqvi and Salik Hussain, will review the proposed projects after the deadline. Once finalized, the projects will be submitted to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for approval before implementation begins.

The collaboration is expected to unlock the development potential of public assets while improving Islamabad’s tourism infrastructure, supporting economic growth, and creating new opportunities in the hospitality and recreation sectors.
