CDA Announced to Rename Roads After Prominent Figures
Islamabad: According to sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on the 21st of December that three roads would be named after important figures in recognition of their contributions to the nation.

At its last monthly meeting, the Board of Capital Development Authority (CDA) changed the name of the recently dead nuclear physicist, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
It was also decided that the same CDA board will relaunch the initiative to rename three streets after the historical characters Josh Marihabuddy, Jamieldin Ari, and Huffy’s Jalandhar, which had been abandoned. This is accomplished by CDA submitting four names to the federal government for final approval.

According to the prior 2019 plan, Service Road (South) in Sector D-12 was to be named Jameeluddin Aali Road, Service Road (West) in Sector D-12 was to be named Josh Malihabadi Road, and Service Road (East) in Sector D-12 was to be named Hafeez Jalandhari Road.
After receiving permission, new road signs will be erected at their respective locations.
