The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a comprehensive review of its workforce and directed all departments to submit updated information on sanctioned posts and vacancies from BPS-01 to BPS-16.
According to sources, the exercise aims to compile an updated record of approved positions across the authority and evaluate current staffing levels against sanctioned strength. The review is expected to help identify vacant posts, workforce gaps, and departments that may require additional personnel.
In a circular issued by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Directorate, all departments and formations have been instructed to provide the required data within two days using a prescribed format. The information must be verified and duly attested by the relevant Deputy Director or Director.
The directive, issued with the approval of the Director General (HRD), has been marked as “Most Urgent,” highlighting the significance of the exercise for the authority.
The review covers more than 100 CDA offices and departments, including administration, engineering, planning, environment, health services, estate management, enforcement, finance, legal affairs, municipal services, and water management.
Officials familiar with the process said the collected data will play an important role in future decisions related to recruitment, promotions, transfers, workforce planning, and organizational restructuring. The information is also expected to support budget planning and resource allocation across various departments.
The initiative reflects a broader effort by public sector organizations to improve workforce management, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen service delivery through better human resource planning.
