The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has extended the bidding deadline for its Rs. 3.2 billion Capital House project in Islamabad by another 15 days, allowing interested companies additional time to prepare their designs and technical proposals.
The deadline was initially scheduled for the first week of October before being extended to October 12. The authority has now revised the deadline for a second time, setting the new date as October 27, 2026.
The CDA plans to develop Capital House in the Diplomatic Enclave, following the model of existing provincial houses representing Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The proposed facility will provide accommodation and related services under one roof.
According to the project’s original PC-I, construction is expected to be completed within two years. Initial plans include approximately 100 rooms of different categories, along with facilities comparable to those offered by a four-star hotel.
However, the project will be developed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. Under this arrangement, the final design, number of rooms and available facilities will be determined during the procurement process.
CDA Director General Infrastructure Haider Ali said the deadline was extended following requests from prospective bidders who needed more time to finalize their designs and complete the required technical work.
He added that the authority would evaluate the submitted designs and financial bids before awarding the contract in accordance with the applicable procurement rules.
The latest extension gives interested companies additional time to prepare their proposals for the major development project. The next step will be the evaluation of bids and selection of a contractor to undertake construction of Capital House.
