The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reinstated 18 officers who were removed from their positions during the tenure of former Chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa.
According to reports, the officers had earlier been transferred to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Department and have now been restored to previous posts or assigned new responsibilities in different wings of the authority.
The move is part of an internal restructuring exercise aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening departmental operations.
Among the key appointments, Irfan Azeem Khan, Director Environment, has been posted as Deputy Director General (Environment-I) with additional charge of DDG (Environment-II). Azhar Khursheed, a BS-19 Director (Executive), has also been given a new assignment, though his final posting is still being processed.
In the environment and urban planning sectors, Syed Abid Shah and Akram Ranjha have been posted as Deputy Directors under the HRD Department, where they will work on Urban-II matters and environmental management projects.
Several major senior-level reshuffles have also taken place. Wasim Sabir, Director (E&M), has been promoted to Director General (E&M), replacing Mian Irfan Javed. Ammar Idrees and Abid Farooq, both Deputy Directors (Civil), have been moved to the Coordination and Technical (Works) wings to support project execution and technical oversight.
The Parks and Environment divisions have also undergone changes. Akram Ranjha has been posted as Deputy Director (Parks), while Aurangzeb Bajkani has been appointed Deputy Director (Parks), Urban-II. Both officers will oversee park management and green belt operations in Islamabad.
