The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the schedule for its upcoming three-day commercial plot auction in Islamabad, offering a range of commercial and other properties to local and overseas investors.
According to the authority’s announcement, the auction will take place from August 4 to August 6, 2026, at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad. Proceedings will begin at 10:00 AM each day and will be conducted by the CDA’s Directorate of Estate Management-II.
The auction includes commercial properties across several established and emerging locations in the capital, providing prospective buyers with options for different business and investment requirements.

Commercial Properties Included in Auction
Among the locations included in the auction are commercial plots in Blue Area, G-10 Markaz, F-11 Markaz, I-8 Markaz, I-9 Markaz, I-12 Markaz, C-13, G-6 I&T Centre (Aabpara), G-11/1 I&T Centre and the E-11 Northern Strip.
The auction will also feature selected apartment plots, petrol pump sites, agro farms along Orchard Murree Road and shops in the Blue Area Parking Plaza.
The variety of properties is expected to give investors opportunities across different commercial categories and locations within Islamabad.
Facilities Announced for Investors
The CDA has also announced several facilities aimed at making the auction and subsequent development process more convenient for successful bidders.
These include a dedicated facilitation team, building plan approval after completion of the required initial payment and possession of plots subject to fulfilment of the applicable payment conditions.
Eligible buyers may also receive discounts for completing payments within the timelines announced by the authority, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Auction brochures and detailed information are expected to be available through the CDA One Window Directorate, designated bank branches and the authority’s official website.
Opportunity for Commercial Property Investors
The upcoming auction provides investors with an opportunity to acquire commercial property through an official CDA auction process.

Islamabad’s established commercial centres, including Blue Area and various Markaz locations, remain important business destinations, while newer commercial corridors may offer different opportunities depending on location, development and demand.
For investors, the choice of property should be based on factors such as location, plot category, permitted land use, development potential, payment obligations, business suitability and long-term market demand.
However, commercial property investment involves financial risks, and buyers should not assume that every auction property will generate the same returns.
What Investors Should Check Before Bidding
Prospective bidders should carefully review the official auction brochure and verify the complete terms and conditions before participating.
Important considerations include the reserve price, payment schedule, applicable taxes and charges, possession conditions, development requirements, building regulations and permitted use of the property.
Investors should also assess whether the selected property matches their intended business or investment strategy.
The three-day auction is expected to attract interest from both local and overseas Pakistanis seeking commercial property opportunities in Islamabad.
Interested participants are advised to complete the required registration and documentation formalities before the auction dates to avoid delays or last-minute issues.
With properties spanning established commercial areas, new development zones and specialised categories such as apartment plots and petrol pump sites, the August 2026 CDA commercial plot auction is set to provide investors with a broad range of options within the capital’s property market.
