ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has intensified development activities in residential sectors E-12, I-12 and C-14, focusing on road networks, infrastructure and essential civic facilities across the federal capital.
During a recent visit to Sector E-12, CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf reviewed ongoing projects and instructed officials to accelerate construction and development work. The authority also reported the recovery of more than 1,000 kanals of state land in the sector, which could support planned development and the future provision of public facilities.

Work is also continuing in Sectors I-12 and C-14, where the CDA is focusing on infrastructure improvements and residential development. Other initiatives include road construction and rehabilitation, upgrades to major routes, and improvements to underpasses and pedestrian bridges to support safer movement and better connectivity.
The authority is pursuing these activities under the directions of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the supervision of the CDA chairman. Officials from the CDA and Islamabad’s local administration accompanied the chairman during the inspection.

The authority has also highlighted work involving parks, landscaping, horticulture, lakes and Park Enclave as part of broader efforts to improve public spaces and the urban environment.
However, the CDA has not announced specific completion dates for the ongoing sector development projects or provided a detailed schedule for delivering all planned civic facilities. Progress will depend on the timely completion of infrastructure and the availability of essential services for residents.
The latest review reflects the authority’s focus on accelerating development in Islamabad’s residential sectors, with further updates expected as work progresses.
