CDA to Initiate Road Development in Rural Areas of Islamabad

Islamabad: As per the news report published on May 9, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced its plans to undertake major development projects in the rural areas of the capital city. The estimated cost of these projects is valued at PKR 10 billion.

According to the publication, the CDA Engineering Wing has invited tenders from construction companies to initiate work on 17 projects worth PKR 2.8 billion in the first phase. Tahir Mahmood, Director of Works at CDA, mentioned that the local department of ICT has been engaged to identify towns, roads, and areas requiring attention.

The official further revealed that the project’s PC-1 has been prepared and tenders have now been issued. The news also stated that the 17 projects are expected to be completed within a three-month timeframe.

Here are the specific details regarding the road development projects:

Rehabilitation and upgradation of Shah Allah Ditta Road up to Alexander Well, with an estimated cost of PKR 380 million.

Rehabilitation of Main Golra Road, costing approximately PKR 144 million.

Upgradation and rehabilitation of Jodh and Sarai Kharboza Road, estimated to cost PKR 135 million.

Rehabilitation of roads in Golra, Sangjani, and other areas, with a total budget of PKR 130 million.

Rehabilitation of Simly Dam Road, Sewer, and Jandghand Roads, requiring a budget of around PKR 120 million.

Rehabilitation of roads in Mandla, Bari Imam, Bani Gala, Gokina, and Sanjalian, estimated at PKR 141 million.

Rehabilitation of Phulgran, Sakreela, and Member Roads, with a budget of PKR 160 million.

Construction of a road from Naiabadi to Huzaifa Town and internal roads of Malpur and Bhara Kahu, estimated to cost PKR 151 million.

Rehabilitation of Sihala Japan Road and other schemes for Golra Mast, Khana, and other rural areas.
