CDA Organize PC-1 for Missing Facilities in Metro Project
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to prepare a separate PC-1 for the provision of missing facilities in the Peshawar Moor to New Islamabad Airport Metro Bus project.

CDA, in consultation with experts, drafted a separate PC-1 to include required facilities such as an intelligent Transportation system with automated fare collection, security surveillance system, Bus scheduling system, vehicular location system, and command and control system, among others.
During the meeting, a detailed layout of the bus depot was also presented. It was determined that the Bus depot would not only meet the needs of the Metro Bus service project, but also those of the Islamabad Bus service project.
A single depot will provide a comprehensive and cost-effective solution. This will also save the government money.

As for infrastructure, it was mandated that per-engineered structures and steel frame construction be adhered to so that the depot and control room are completed within six months to meet the deadline of March 23, 2019 to launch bus service.
It is pertinent to note that tenders for the acquisition of buses have already been issued, and that tenders for the construction of the depot and related systems will be issued in order to meet the deadlines.
