CDA to Thrash Structures Built Along Drains in E-11
After receiving approval from the federal cabinet, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will soon begin destroying buildings constructed along drains in E-11 in Islamabad.

After recent urban floods in E-11/2 claimed the lives of a woman and child, the CDA has sent a report to the federal cabinet about this matter. It will likely be discussed in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
Several structures, including residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings, could be demolished, according to sources, if the municipal agency’s proposal is implemented.
In its original 2007 layout plan (LOP), the width of the E-11 drain was 40 feet. However, in its 2012 updated as-built plan, the width was decreased to 18 feet and approved by the CDA.

After acceptance of the executive summary, the CDA will commission a hydrological and infrastructural analysis of housing plans and freestanding high-rise apartment complexes at the expense of the projects’ sponsors.
