CDWP Gives the Go-ahead to Two Projects worth Rs. 54 Billion
The Central Development Working Group meeting approved a $2.66 billion development project and sent a $51.29 billion development project to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) for further consideration.

Ecnec was tasked with evaluating “New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) 2nd Revision,” a transportation and communications project valued at Rs 51,3 billion.
The Aviation Division scope has filed the second updated PC-1 for the project, and the cost of the ASF camp and CAA residential building to be paid for and executed by the Pakistani side has increased.
The forum approved the continuing project with instructions to assess the PSDP standards in light of the country’s restricted development portfolio and projected future income.

To fulfill the future needs of the Gwadar Airport, the vice-chairman of the Planning Commission further recommended that a solar-and-wind hybrid electricity generation system be investigated.
Senior officials from the Planning Commission and representatives from federal ministries/divisions also attended the meeting, while provincial government representatives participated by videoconference.
