The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) has welcomed enforcement action taken by government agencies against an allegedly illegal cement manufacturing unit operating under the name “Red Bull Cement” on the Sargodha–Faisalabad Road.

In a statement, APCMA said the unit—reportedly linked to Rohri Cement—was sealed and its operations suspended following a joint inspection by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the District Industries Department.

According to the association, the inspection revealed that the facility was operating without required approvals, registrations, environmental clearances, and other statutory permissions mandated under the law.

APCMA praised the authorities for taking timely and decisive action, stating that illegal cement production not only results in significant tax losses for the government but also creates unfair competition for compliant manufacturers that adhere to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

The association highlighted that Pakistan’s cement industry contributes billions of rupees in taxes annually and operates under strict regulatory frameworks enforced by relevant authorities.

It further urged regulators to strengthen monitoring and enforcement mechanisms to prevent the emergence of non-compliant industrial units and ensure early action against violations.

APCMA reiterated its commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at eliminating illegal industrial activity and promoting a transparent, fair, and sustainable business environment for the cement sector.
