Cherat Cement Approved Construction of RS 34 Billion Greenfield
Cherat Cement Company Limited said that the Rs 34 billion, 11,000-ton-per-day Green Field facility in Khyber Paktunkhwa has been approved.

The company’s Board of Directors has approved the construction of a cement factory in Dera Ismail Khan, KP, the cement manufacturer informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The revelation comes at a time when the country’s cement industry has enjoyed remarkable expansion due to a revival in business activity. Cement shipments totaled 3,947 million tonnes in May 2021, a 49.86 percent increase over the same month the previous year’s total of 2,634 million tonnes.

According to information provided by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, domestic cement shipments increased by 40.95 percent in May 2021 to 3.201 million tonnes from 2.271 million tonnes in May 2020.
