Usman Buzdar, Lahore’s chief minister, laid the cornerstone for the $4.23 billion Shahkam Chowk flyover.

The chief minister stated in his address that the Punjab administration adheres to a policy of balanced development so that everyone can gain. He stated that the government’s top objective was enhancing the quality of life of the underprivileged through developing opportunities.
The signal-free flyover would facilitate the daily circulation of 125,000 vehicles. The 606-meter two-sided (three lanes on each side) project will be finished in ten months and land acquisition and transparent bidding would save Rs 390 million.

The Central Business District and the Ravi River Urban Development Project are game-changing efforts that will convert Lahore into a world-class city.
He stated that the government has increased the budget for development by 66%, health by 185%, higher education by 286%, school education by 29%, and agricultural by 306%.
