CM Punjab Launches Climate Leadership Internship Program Phase-II with Rs. 60,000 Monthly Stipend

The Punjab government has invited applications for Phase-II, Batch-II of the CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program, offering young graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in climate action and environmental governance.

The three-month internship, launched under the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department Punjab, offers selected candidates a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000. The initiative aims to equip participants with practical skills through fieldwork, policy exposure, and real-world environmental projects.

Interested applicants can submit their applications online through the official portal until July 18, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline, as late submissions will not be accepted.

Internship Benefits

The program offers a range of learning and professional development opportunities, including:

  • Monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000
  • Three-month paid internship
  • District-level field learning
  • Access to a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Practical experience at EPA field offices
  • Exposure to climate policy and communication units

To encourage greater female participation in climate leadership, 50% of the available seats have been reserved for women.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be 20 to 27 years of age at the time of application.
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks or a 3.0 out of 4.0 CGPA.
