Computerization of Land Record of Entire Lahore
Lahore: The Punjab Land Revenue Authority (PLRA) has reportedly completed the digitizing of land records in all nine Lahore District centres. In order to prevent tampering with land records, all land records have been digitalized since 1947.

Reports indicate that the PLRA has established nine branches to digitize land records under the land revenue wing and deputy commissioner office. The majority of the work on the project, which began in 2017-18, has already been completed. However, Deputy Commissioner of Lahore Umar Sher Chatha wrote to Senior Member of the Board of Revenue Baber Hayat Tarrar concerning the project’s final phase due to an increase in complaints of land data tampering.

In addition, it was disclosed that after the completion of the project, all land-related documents, including mutation and transfer certificates, will be delivered digitally, with manual labor being phased out over the next few months. Soon, trained and acquainted personnel will be sent to selected centers in order to issue digital certificates.
