Conference About Ghandara Tourism by Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwni’s
Promoting religious travel may be essential in developing a strategy for the country’s development, according to Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Minister of State and Chairman of the Task Force on Gandhara Tourism.

At a news conference held here on Friday, he stated that attendees from all over the Buddhist world, such as Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, had recently attended the Gandhara symposium, which was titled “Cultural Diplomacy and Revival of Gandhara Civilization and Buddhist Heritage in Pakistan.”
He claimed that sponsoring such events would create thousands of jobs in various industries, from transportation to hospitality, in addition to helping to boost local tourism.
Traveling for religious purposes, he continued, will enhance Pakistan’s good reputation overseas and the friendliness of Pakistanis.
He claims that visitors to the Gandhara Centre from 31 countries reported delight after learning about the Buddha’s life. Dr. Kumar said, “I wish visitors would visit Pakistan and learn about its history.

The story of Gautama Buddha originated in Pakistan, so I wish to promote travel there.
He further mentioned that the Malaysian delegation had offered to host an exhibition highlighting Pakistan’s rich cultural past in Malaysia. This exhibition aims to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage.
He also shared details about the upcoming 70th birthday of the King of Thailand, which is scheduled for July 28. There are proposals to create a constitution that would make it simpler to welcome millions of people after the celebrations for this significant occasion.
He also mentioned the 70 Buddhist stupas that the Thai delegates had brought. A full explanation of each stupa’s history and cultural significance will be given.
“Citizens of Pakistan, including security agencies and other stakeholders, must contribute somehow.” Dr. Kumar claims that Pakistan is where it is now because of the military’s sacrifices.

“Promoting religious tourism is essential for GDP growth and can greatly impact the country’s economy.”
Dr. Kumar stated that Vietnam made $30 billion from tourism and that the Vietnamese delegation had also been given a chartered flight to Pakistan for tourism promotion. He emphasized that the nation would advance as tourism grew and terrorism would end.
He asserted that religious tourism would enhance Pakistan’s reputation, adding that the international “Ghandhara Symposium” succeeded and would promote peace, interfaith harmony, and a friendly visitor environment.
He asserted that monks were given a draught of the “Takshashila Declaration,” which sought to open doors for promoting Gandharan art and tourism.
Kumar claims that a website called www.gandhara.gov.pk has been created to assist tourists visiting the historical sites of Pakistan’s Gandhara region. He said that the platform will expedite the application process for visitor visas.
