Construction of Six-Lane GT Road Linking Taxila, Hassanabdal Soon
According to news reports, Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan declared on Friday (October 22) that building will soon begin on a six-lane Grand Trunk (GT) Road (N-5) from Taxila to Hassanabdal.
Minister Khan added that the 10.80-kilometer-long Taxila-Hattar road project will be finished in the coming months with an anticipated budget of PKR 130 million.
Yawar Abbas Bukhari, minister for Bait-ul-Mal and social welfare in Punjab, spoke to the press about 98.8 million Pakistani rupees worth of development projects in the Taxila district, including water and sanitation facilities.
In an interview with the media, the minister indicated that the execution of the projects will tackle potable water supply issues in the Makhad, Chaab, and Dekhanir parts of Jand. According to the specifications, the allocated monies have been disbursed, and the bidding process has been concluded.

The three-year project will be managed by the district’s public health engineering division. This will solve the health issues caused by the usage of dirty water, which has contributed to a considerable number of baby growth disorders and other adult ailments.
