Construction Work on Extension of Kachhi Canal Completed
The National Assembly was informed that the extension of the Kachhi Canal would be completed by August of the following year.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan stated, in response to a calling attention notice raised by MNA Munawara Bibi Baloch, that the Kachhi Canal is a vital project for Balochistan province.
He stated that phase 1, Part-II of the project would be fully operational by 2023. He said 120 million rupees had been allocated for the project during the current fiscal year.

Ali Muhammad Khan stated that phase 1 of the project would allow the province to irrigate 72,000 acres of land and upon completion of the remaining works, an additional 30,000 acres.
The project would irrigate a total area of 102,000 acres.
