CRBC Project Projected to Be Made Part of CPEC
Peshawar: According to news reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan was informed on Sunday that efforts were under way to include the Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal (CRBC) project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Once completed, the project will become a “game changer” for the provincial agriculture sectors.

The CM was informed that the technical/financial evaluation for the feasibility study, engineering design, and PC-I for the CRBC project has been completed during the project’s progress review meeting, when the information was revealed.
The Public-Private Partnership Committee (PPPC) has approved the execution of phase II of the Swat Motorway’s commercial and financial feasibility, and site acquisition for the project is already underway, according to additional information provided to the meeting. Additionally, the technical and financial review of the submitted bids for the road infrastructure was also under progress.
The proposed 365-kilometer Peshawar-DI Khan Motorway project’s PC-I has been approved by the Province Development Working Party, and the meeting was also told of this (PDWP).

It was also mentioned that the 18.325-kilometer bypass route from Ayub Bridge Havelian to Dhamtoor Abbottabad is now under construction.
