Deadline Set for Hydrological Survey of E-11 Buildings
The municipal managers of Islamabad have set a one-month deadline for the hydrological study of structures in E-11.

A member of the CDA’s board of directors stated that the hydrological study will be done within a month as the organization prepared to implement its regulations in the unregulated sector.
The sector remained unregulated since the then-president Ayub Khan exempted it from land acquisition in 1968. A considerable number of residences have been constructed on the right-of-way of natural streams, and the area is beset by a proliferation of illegal high-rise buildings.

In the meantime, according to sources, the chairman of the CDA has instructed the investigation committee investigating the E-11 case to complete its work expeditiously and take disciplinary action against the responsible individuals.
When asked about the new regulations that will govern E-11, the officer stated that a decision would be made at the next meeting.
