Deputy Commissioner Sends Summary for Setting Up PHA Gujrat
The Deputy Commissioner of Gujrat, Mehtab Waseem Azhar, has reportedly written a summary to Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar regarding the establishment of a Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to preserve greenbelts and parks in the city.

DC As the city is a part of Pakistan’s “golden industrial triangle,” there is an urgent need to establish PHA Gujrat, according to Gujrat. The city’s parks and greenbelts are in bad shape due to a lack of maintenance funds from local governments.

According to the facts presented, the authority would be a self-governing organization with projected expenditures of approximately PKR 63 million and projected income of PKR 70 million.
