Development Work on Daducha Dam Resumes
Rawalpindi: Development work on the PKR 6.49 billion Daducha Dam has begun following a brief halt caused by technical and administrative challenges, according to news sources.

The project is essential for the region’s potable water supply in Rawalpindi. After the project is done, the city will get daily deliveries of 35 million gallons of water.
The construction of the dam was scheduled to be finished in 30 weeks, beginning in early 2021. However, the completion date has been pushed back because to the difficulties. The Daducha Dam encompasses 60,000 acres.

The dam is being constructed in the village of Daducha, around 24 kilometers from Rawalpindi. As a result of a shortage of water-storage dams, millions of gallons of water leak into the sea, making the dam crucial to the country’s water security.
This project is part of a government initiative to construct small dams to address citizens’ water issues.
