Displaced Families of Nullahs in Karachi to Get NPHP Apartments
Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the federal government has decided to allocate apartments under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) to families displaced by the anti-encroachment operation along Orangi and Gujjar nullahs in Karachi, according to a news source.

The CM further disclosed that the centre has agreed to offer impacted individuals with two months of rent at a cost of PKR 15,000.
Due to limited resources, the Sindh government has decided to file three petitions with the Supreme Court (SC). The initial application will be submitted for residential construction and infrastructure expansion. This project will cost a total of PKR 3,5 billion. The second proposal will connect to the Malir district, where numerous development projects are now being carried out.

In addition, the third suggestion will be a drainage plan to properly dispose of rainwater from the left bank of the Indus. He continued by stating that all of these measures would cost 10 billion PKR.
