ECNEC Approves Water, Road, Health Infrastructure Projects
On Thursday, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, presided over a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), which authorised a number of development projects, including plans for new water and road infrastructure.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (Health Component), sponsored and carried out by the Department of Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and funded by the World Bank – IDA in the amount of Rs. 13,260 million, was approved by ECNEC, according to a press release from the Finance Ministry.

The initiative aims to increase the accessibility, use, and calibre of primary healthcare services in four districts of KPK, which would serve a native population of 8.4 million people and 500,000 refugees.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would be in charge of the project’s seamless execution and operation after it is completed, according to the committee’s approval of the project mentioned above.
The statement concluded that the project’s anticipated total cost is Rs. 25,551.77 million, which will be split 50:50 between the federal government and the government of Sindh.
