FBR Extends Office Hours to Enable Income Tax Returns Submission
According to news sources, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad has extended the business hours of all of its tax offices to ease the submission of income tax returns before Thursday’s deadline.

The decision was taken in an effort to assist tax filers and fix issues with the online tax filing system. Despite traders’ and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (FPCCI) continuous requests for an extension, the FBR has not yet extended the deadline for filing tax reports.

In addition, the members of FPCCI and the dealers have urged FBR not to impose 0.1% late payment fees on the total amount owed. In the long run, the dealers believed that such measures would burden enterprises.
