FBR Kicks Off The Launch of Pakistan Single Window Programme
According to press reports, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has begun the preliminary launch of the Pakistan Single Window Program (PSWP) to enhance the nation’s international trade. According to Muhammad Imran Khan Mohmand, project director for the PSWP, the program’s official start is anticipated in a few months.

Nasir Hayat Maggo, president of the FPCCI, said during the lecture that the effort will help connect and share documents from 74 departments that handle imports and exports. According to Mr. Mohmand, the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement also calls for the National Single Window system to be put into place by 2022.
Currently, imports and exports are so expensive and time-consuming that international trade is hampered. He continued by saying that the project aims to speed up processing times and increase departmental efficiency by integrating the Web-based One Customs (WeBOC) with banking channels, Customs, and other organizations.

He added that this action would benefit the nation since it would make conducting business in Pakistan simpler. It would enhance Pakistan’s reputation and bring in direct international investment.
