CHARSADDA: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a major housing and apartment development in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The proposed project will cover around 1,600 kanals.
The agreement was signed on September 24 between FGEHA and a consortium comprising Zee Brothers and Ruya Developers. The partnership provides a framework for developing residential and apartment facilities in the district.
The project may also be expanded in the future under the terms of the agreement. However, further expansion would depend on the relevant approvals and development requirements.
The proposed development represents a significant housing project for Charsadda. Its planned mix of housing and apartment units could add to the supply of organized residential accommodation in the area once development moves forward.
The involvement of FGEHA also extends the authority’s housing development activities into another part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The authority has worked on housing projects for federal government employees in several locations across the country.
Under the MoU, the private-sector consortium will work with FGEHA on the proposed development. The partnership is expected to combine institutional oversight with private-sector development resources.
The signing of the MoU marks an initial step toward the project. It does not by itself confirm a construction schedule, plot or apartment prices, or an allotment date.
