First Phase of Allama Iqbal Industrial City Faisalabad Complete
Faisalabad: According to news reports, the first phase of the Allama Iqbal Industrial City has been finished, according to chairman of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Corporation (FIEDMC) Mian Kashif Ishfaq.

The project, which is being developed with a total budget of USD 7.5 billion, is one of nine major Industrial Zones created under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The chairman also expressed his satisfaction with the rate of progress, noting that approximately 20 industrial units had started operating, occupying one-third of the land in the industrial city’s first phase, with the remaining units anticipated to be operational by the end of the year.

Additionally, he claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the ministries and the administration of the FIEDMC to assist both domestic and foreign investors and set up a one-window operation to speed up the process and improve delivery. The authorities’ top objective, according to Mr. Kashif, is to provide facilities including basic infrastructure, such as gas, power, roads, and civic centres.
When finished, the 3,300-acre Allama Iqbal Industrial City will include Furniture City, Apparel Park, a contemporary business centre, and the largest expo centre in the nation. The industrial units are being allocated to sectors that focus on exports.
