Funds for Expansion of Road Connecting Kohat’s Kutcheri Chowk
According to published reports, the provincial government of Kohat has approved PKR 380 million for the expansion of the road connecting Kutchery Chowk and PAF Square, following the signing of an agreement with the army to demolish barracks.

According to the information provided, the road expansion will reduce traffic congestion in the city. A public relations officer employed by Shehryar Afridi, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, disclosed that the road project will be completed in three phases. Ample parking space will be created as part of the project to ensure that traffic flow is not impeded.
In addition, according to the public relations officer, the total cost of the project was PKR 80 million, and the remainder will be used to compensate the army, market owners, and shopkeepers. According to Deputy Chief Warden Arab Jan, certain sections of the road were only 15 to 18 feet wide, causing traffic congestion.
