GB’s Connectivity to Be Improved Under CPEC
Lt. Gen. (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa, the chairman of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority, who is currently in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), stated in a tweet on July 22 that the CPEC projects will improve the region’s connectivity with the rest of the nation.

With G-B Chief Minister Khurshid, Bajwa spoke about the potential of the northern regions and how to realise it in accordance with Prime Minister Imran’s vision. The two talked about numerous CPEC developments and projects. According to his tweet, the industries that would receive development attention have already been chosen.
They include fishing and agricultural, integrated tourism, power development, upgraded infrastructure (including roads and airport facilities), and improved connectivity.

The same day, the chairman tweeted images of his interactions with local farmers working in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock in communities near the Khunjrab Bypass, stating that the CPEC will explore the potential of these industries. Additionally, he stated that the difficulties experienced by farmers working in these industries would be resolved.
