Govt Constitutes Committee for Land of Revised RRR Project
According to news reports, the Punjab government has constituted a price evaluation committee to initiate the land acquisition process for the revised route of the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project.
According to the sources, the committee comprised of representatives from the various departments will visit the proposed project site to collect information about market prices. Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act of 1894 will also be implemented to prevent land sales.
In addition, it was discovered that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has agreed to videotape the committee’s hearings in an effort to increase the process’s transparency.

It is vital to remember that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has already incorporated the 38.3-kilometer-long ring road project into the Annual development program (ADP) and earmarked PKR 6.7 billion for the project.
RDA has begun work on Project Concept-1 (PC-1) for the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project, which will be presented to the province government for final clearance. The previously proposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ) accompanying the road infrastructure has been removed from the revised PC-1.
