Government Grants 10% Ad Hoc Relief for Govt Employees
Civil personnel have received a 10 percent ad hoc relief payment on their base wage from the federal government.
The Ministry of Finance published a memorandum regarding the grant of a 10% ad hoc relief allowance on basic pay to federal government public servants.

Not only will the amount of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2021 be subject to Income Tax, but it will also be admissible during leave and the whole term of LPR, with the exception of extraordinary leave.
Similarly, it will not be admissible to employees while their posting/deputation overseas, but it will be admissible upon repatriation at the rate and amount that would have been applicable had they not been posted abroad.

For the purposes of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance, the phrase “Basic Pay” will also encompass the amount of personal pay provided as a result of annual increments above the limit of the existing pay grades.
The aforementioned Ad-hoc relief allowance shall be funded from the respective Ministries’/Divisions’/Departments’ budgetary allocation for the fiscal year 2021-22, and no additional grants shall be made on this account.
