Government to Construct Differently-abled People’s Capacity
Islamabad: The Ministry of Human Rights has decided to launch training programmes to increase the inclusion of people with varied abilities in the city’s public and private institutions.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the ministry and the Directorate General of Special Education in partnership with the Private Education Institutions Registration Authority, according to the specifics (Peira).
The official stated that the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and Peira will identify individuals with mild to moderate impairments in the nation’s capital. These schools’ principals and instructors would receive training on inclusive education. In addition, workshops and seminars for consultation purposes would be organized.

The purpose of the program is to integrate differently-abled children into mainstream education and work, he said, adding that it is crucial for them to attend regular schools so they may thrive in society.
In addition to enrolling about 5,000 students with special needs in schools in Islamabad, 250 teachers in ordinary schools will receive training. Approximately 10,000 parents would be counseled and guided.
