Govt to Introduce Low-Cost Housing Project in Sangjani Islamabad
According to news sources, the government plans to construct 2,392 low-cost housing units in the Sangjani neighborhood of Islamabad as part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).

According to the information provided, Project Concept-1 (PC1) for these homes is complete, and the land acquisition and transfer process is underway. The monthly mortgage payments for these houses will be less than PKR 10,000 per month, according to the Ministry of Housing.
According to the details, the first phase of the project will involve the construction of 10,000 low-cost dwelling units across 20 districts of Punjab. 11 locations for these units are expected to be launched in the near future, while 12 have already been inaugurated.

In addition, the private sector is active in the low-cost housing project, which has resulted in the completion of 19,298 low-cost housing units, of which Akhuwat has financed 15,732 units.
Under the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority, the government has received 230 offers from the private sector to construct nearly 3 million homes (NAPHDA).
