Green Line BRT Commuters to Get Digital Services by UBL
Karachi: According to a news report published on February 17 (Thursday), the United Bank Limited (UBL) has become the digital partner of the Karachi Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service to provide commutcustomers with cashless transactions.

Details indicate that android POS (Point of Sale) terminals from UBL will power the bus stations. It will be integrated with the ticketing system to provide seamless service for passengers. As part of this scheme, the bank’s internet payment gateway will enable BRT users to purchase tickets online using their debit or credit cards.
In addition, the bank has an exclusive cash management relationship with Sindh Infrastructure Development Co., Ltd. The ceremony took place at the UBL headquarters in Karachi.

Notably, UBL was given the contract in November 2021 following a formal bidding process, and the formal agreement was signed in February 2022. SIDCL was charged with enhancing the quality of the city’s public transportation system.
