Rs39bn Approved for Youth Loans: Usman Dar
Islamabad: Usman Dar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Young Affairs, reportedly said on Tuesday that the government has approved Rs39 billion for the Kamyab Jawan Business Loans Program, which will benefit around 25,700 young people who qualify for low-interest loans.

During a press conference, the SAPM advised media-industry youth to join the Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP) and apply for soft loans to launch their own businesses with a seed capital.
Mr. Dar stated that roughly 2,000 tractors were provided to farmers as part of the strategy to boost the industry.
In the initial phase, 10,000 tractors would be added to the scheme, he stated. According to the SAPM, the government has allotted Rs100 billion for the issuing of soft loans under the scheme, which now provides Rs3–4 billion per month to about 3,000 young entrepreneurs and would expand to Rs8–10 billion in the future.
Over 400,000 people applied for the third phase of the Skills for All (Hunarmand Pakistan) scholarship program, he said, and approximately 60,000 people would be awarded scholarships for traditional and high-tech trade training.

He stated that the federal government had assisted the young of Sindh by awarding 13,000 skills scholarships, which had expanded to 35,000, as well as Rs8 billion in soft loans to those who qualified.
He noted that the issuance of business loans under the Kamyab Jawan Program has been expedited so as to assist the greatest number of young people.
