Islamabad Becomes First Pakistani City to Have Electric Taxi
Malik Amin Aslam, Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Climate Change, launched the nation’s first e-Taxi for northern districts as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean Green Pakistan initiative.

According to Amin Aslam, the budget of the e-taxi driver will be reduced by Rs 12,000. As to Aslam, the use of e-taxis will save Pakistan Rs 2 billion in oil imports and provide economic benefits to drivers.
He complimented Sapphire Group and Faisal Movers on their collaborative project, which embraces the future of modern mobility and sustainable growth.

In addition, he stated this at the opening of the first-ever electric car taxi services in the steep terrain of Northern regions, which was made possible by a partnership between the two companies.
An engineer from the private business that designed the e-taxi stated that, with a fully charged battery, the e-taxi could easily drive up to 250 kilometers.
