IT Park to Provide Job Opportunities: Minister
Islamabad: In Chak Shahzad, the fourth IT Park in the capital was officially opened by Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque.

The location would charge Rs 80 per square foot for office space for IT experts.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Haque predicted that the IT Park will promote freelancing among young IT experts and offer over 5,000 direct and indirect job possibilities. Mr. Suh Sangpyo, the Korean ambassador, was also present.
There are now 15 software technology parks (STPs) in Pakistan, including one each in Karachi and Gilgit, three in Islamabad, two in Rawalpindi, eight in Lahore, and three in the capital city.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Suh Sangpyo stated that the creation of IT parks is one of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund’s primary priorities (EDCF).

A framework agreement was struck in 2019 with Pakistan to confirm $500 million in EDCF loans that provide financial flexibility for Pakistan’s infrastructure development.
According to him, it is extremely encouraging that Pakistan’s IT and telecom industries are making revolutionary strides, and the Islamabad IT Park will prove to be a significant turning point for the country’s professional workers.
