Italian Ambassador for Enhanced Trade Relations with Pakistan
The Italian ambassador to Pakistan, Andreas Ferrarese, indicated in Islamabad that there are unexplored prospects for mutually beneficial investments and commerce between Italy and Pakistan, which will benefit the business and trade communities of both nations.

The ambassador made these statements during a dinner he hosted at his residence for Pakistan’s top business executives and presidents of major trade chambers. According to him, trade and cultural links between Pakistan and Italy are at an all-time high, and this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen economic and commercial relationships between the two nations.

Ambassador Ferrarese disclosed that his nation is home to the largest Pakistani diaspora among European Union (EU) nations. During the fiscal year (FY) 2020-21, Italian worker remittances hit USD 601 million, an all-time record. In addition, he disclosed that Italy is currently assisting Pakistan with its agricultural and textile development.
