Italy-Pak Agree to Negotiate for Finalizing Pact on Labour Import
Islamabad: Pakistan’s ambassador to Italy, Jauhar Saleem, marked the beginning of negotiations on a labour and labour force import agreement between Italy and Pakistan in order to increase employment prospects for local trained young on the Italian labor market.

During the third phase of a series of digital zoom link media talks organized by the embassy of Pakistan in Rome, the ambassador told the media that the current strong economic and trade ties between the two countries will help to foster a potential agreement that will bring the two countries closer together.
The ambassador stated that the Pakistani embassy in Rome is currently working to provide legal aid to Pakistani migrants, and that the ‘Workforce Export Agreement’ between Italy and Pakistan is one such link for creating employment opportunities for local skilled labor in the Italian potential market.

Once travel restrictions are eased, a greater number of Italian investor delegations will visit Pakistan, according to Jauhar Saleem.
In addition, he underlined the steps done to boost tourism, particularly the capacity building of Pakistan’s tourism sector stakeholders by Italian specialists.
